I will never forget the goal I scored here against most players who play for the "Youth of Colvale" team. I didnt really expect to score a goal, given the fact that I dont play regularly.
Playing football and scoring a goal against a good team in Goa would give football lover great satisfaction.

This is a place where the all time great comedians lived.Earlier know as Marrvaddo.Simple people lived here.A name I can remember which has touched my life is Intormai.
Others like Ligory.Jaku.Karu.Jonnie.Buzo and many more are there. They were the pillars of this society.LuizMarie,Clara Ciprian(Chippulo) and mother Caroline(Karolgea) are others whom I can recollect.
The mats (shenreo)baskets (pandlea) and other bamboo items which were famous all over used to be made here...Now nobody has taken up this profession as all want to go abroad and make a living.
One may bump into old timers at Namdeo's bar in the evenings where they have cashew feni neatly.
I wish the Good ole days and the Jolly good people came back.

COLVAL BRIDGE - Connecting Pedne and Bardez,

This the Vital link between Bardez n Pernem. In the old days there used to be ferry boats ferrying people/bikes/cars from Pernam to Bardez and Vice versa.
After many years we saw a metal bridge coming up at a place where the ferry used to operate....One bus/truck could pass at a time. After some years they were not allowing heavy busses or trucks to pass on this bridge....People were asked to get down and walk across the bridge...while the bus used to cross over empty and then the people used to board the bus on the other side....this was due to safety reason....as many felt the bridge shake underneath them
After many many years this new bridge finally did come up and made life easier for many.....But this also made the NH17 [national highway] take their route via this bridge as the distance was shorter by 1 and half hour.. had one travelled via Thivim/dodamarg route.....There were plus points and minus points..The Highway did come and alongwith it came confiscaton of property for road broadning etc....Factories sprung up and a concrete jungle was born in the field areas...I still remember when one could stand in the Amuliyani area and hear a pin drop silence....with lush greenery all around.I personally feel we have lost all that and what I saw that day will never never come back.

This is the ideal place to catch crabs. The forest way leads one to the highway bridge and the other way takes one to the Church.Awesome silence prevails here and for people coming from Bombay it looks as if the world has stood still. We were here all the Summers during our schooling days roaming around like crazy.[How I miss them]Now as we have our own jobs to attend to its difficult to roam around carefree without a worry in the world....like how we used to in the Good Ole Days.

This bridge is the vital connection from south to the north.Linkway to Camurlim Chicalim and onwards to Chicalim,Duler & Mapusa. There are two daily busses via this route ..one at 08am and one at 9am.People are found fishing at the main arc where the water is quiet deep. But no one is allowed to park their fishing nets as This place belongs to Pandlo a big Bhatkar who owns busses and trucks...big old timer business man.If he finds you with the net then may God save you from Pandlos.

Marvaddo....Happy go lucky people used to live here in the past .now all have become big people....if anyone wanted any housework or any sort of work..these people would be every willing to assist at a minimal fee,,,When we were small stalwarts and comedians like Liguor,Karulo,Buzo,Jonnie,Jackulo lived here...Feast days were celebrated with great pomp and valor and always there used to be fights which the whole of Colvale could here in the Good old days.
